Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an AVP for Relationship Management in Financial Sponsor Coverage. You will support senior team members in servicing global sponsor clients, coordinating across regions, and helping develop new products for client accounts.

The role requires solid knowledge of Financial Sponsor clients and transactions (LBOs, M&A, ECM) and preferred experience with NAV/ subscription financing and other sponsor products. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree level, higher financial qualifications (e.g. CFA) preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Financial Sponsor clients and transactions (LBOs, M&A, ECM).
• Experience communicating with a broad range of senior stakeholders and sponsoring partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client management & marketing for select Financial Sponsor clients.
• Provide input on pricing, credit & structuring decisions on transactions.
• Support processes for coverage (account planning, portfolio tracking, budgets, pipeline, global coordination).
• Coordinate with SMBC product teams to optimise commercial & risk performance.
