Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Financial Crime Data Analyst based in Glasgow to design, develop and maintain statistical and ML models for decision support in financial crime domains. You will collect and clean data from multiple sources and ensure high data quality for robust model development.

You will monitor model performance in real-time, address biases, and contribute to policy and governance with a strong focus on risk management.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Python and SQL.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on rule development.
• Knowledge of transaction monitoring/money laundering financial crime analytics.
• Background in mathematics or statistics including probability, ML and AI.
• Familiarity with regulatory landscape in financial crime compliance.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and clean data from various sources for model development.
• Design and implement data management strategies for model maintenance.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models for credit risk, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimization.
• Monitor model performance in real-time and address biases or issues.
• Lead training and knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift ML capability across Barclays.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to stay at AI frontiers.
