Job summary

The Emerald Group in London seeks an exceptional actuarial leader to join the Capital Management & Reporting team as an Assistant Vice President. This permanent role is based in London and focuses on division-wide capital management initiatives and solvency forecasting.

The candidate will translate complex model outputs into strategic recommendations, own the multi-year capital plan, and present to senior leadership and regulatory bodies. Strong regulatory capital experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Fellow status or equivalent experience in actuarial profession.
• Experience in capital management and both economic and regulatory frameworks (Solvency II).
• Experience presenting to senior leadership and governance forums.
• BMA regulatory capital experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, implement, monitor and iterate division-wide capital management initiatives.

They are seeking an exceptional actuarial leader to join the Capital Management & Reporting team as an Assistant Vice President.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Identify, develop, implement, monitor and iterate Division-wide capital management initiatives
• Translate complex model outputs and analysis into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
• Own the development, consolidation, and delivery of the multi-year capital plan for the Division
• Lead the production of solvency forecasts, including the identification and monitoring of emerging risks;
• Produce and communicate high-quality capital MI for senior leadership, Boards and regulatory submissions. This will cover solvency, ALM, currency exposure, insurance risks, diversification, new business impacts, and drivers of movements
• Fellow of Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, or similar experience
• Capital management experience, preferably experience of both economic and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Solvency II)
• BMA regulatory capital experience
• Experience in presenting to senior leadership and governance forums
