Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Avionics Engineer B2 for Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport). You will maintain, repair and troubleshoot avionics and electrical systems on rotary aircraft, supporting maintenance plans and safety standards.

The role is full-time onsite at Staverton, with opportunities to contribute to operational excellence in aviation. The candidate will perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults, manage documentation, and liaise with the team while adhering to safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing aircraft avionics in line/base maintenance.
• Proven fault-finding and rectification on avionics/electrical systems.
• Knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures, tooling control and ground support equipment.
• Understanding of Safety Management Systems and aviation flight safety principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to complete technical documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned line/base maintenance on rotary aircraft and avionics systems.
• Rectify deferred defects per approved procedures and MEL.
• Diagnose and repair avionics/electrical systems to maintain airworthiness.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and airworthiness data are available for maintenance.
• Liaise with colleagues and customers maintaining high safety standards.
