Job summary

Airbus Broughton is offering a Craft Tool Room Apprentice program in Broughton. This 36-month apprenticeship provides hands-on tool room experience and qualifications for aspiring aerospace engineers, including NVQ and City & Guilds courses.

You will work with the Tool Room team to maintain jigs and tooling for wing production, attend college on day-release, and develop skills on CNC and conventional machines while supporting live aircraft projects.

Qualifications

• NVQ L2 diploma in Performing Engineering Operations.
• City & Guilds 2850 Level 2 In Machining.
• Level 2 Essential Skills.
• NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Machining Bias units).
• City & Guilds 2850 Level 3 Machining.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in the Tool Room while completing your academic studies.
• Support manufacture of wing skins, panels and stringers for Airbus aircraft.
• Maintain production jigs and tools and operate machine shop equipment, including CNC and conventional machines.
• Attend college on day release and work toward NVQ Level 3 Diploma.
