Job summary

Airbus Broughton is offering a Craft Tool Room Apprentice program for 36 months, starting September 2027, based in Broughton, North Wales. You will learn to maintain wing jigs and tooling for A320, A330 and A350, with on‑the‑job training and college study.

The scheme combines practical engineering work in the Tool Room with formal qualifications, including NVQ and City & Guilds programmes, delivered at Coleg Cambria and on site.

Qualifications

• NVQ L2 diploma in Performing Engineering Operations and related engineering qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2850 Level 2 Machining and Level 2 Essential Skills.
• NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Machining Bias units) and City & Guilds 2850 Level 3 Machining.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain production jigs and tooling.
• Work on live aircraft projects within the Tool Room.
• Attend college day release to gain formal engineering qualifications.
