Job summary

Airbus offers a Craft Surface Finish Fitter Apprenticeship at our Broughton site in North Wales. The 36-month program combines hands-on training with formal qualification courses, preparing you to work on wing components for A320, A330 and A350 families.

You will spend the first year at Rhyl College, earning Level 2 NVQ and related qualifications, then advance to our Broughton team for hands-on learning on live aircraft projects.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English Language; 5 GCSEs total with grades C/4 or higher.
• Progression through NVQ Level 3 Aeronautical Engineering during apprenticeship.
• Interest in hands-on fabrication and paints preparation processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and application of surface finishes on aircraft components.
• Support fitting activities in wingbox production areas, including drilling and assembly.
• Learn and apply safety, quality and maintenance standards while working on live aircraft projects.
