Job summary

Airbus is offering a Craft Surface Finish Fitter Apprenticeship at the Broughton site in North Wales. The 36-month program combines hands-on training with academic study, leading to recognised qualifications in surface finishing for aircraft wings.

You will learn through the Gen A support network and day-release study, progressing from foundational skills to live aircraft work on the wingbox. A competitive starting salary accompanies comprehensive benefits and a 35-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4) including Maths and English; Science preferred.
• Include your predicted or achieved grades in your application; attach a Cover Letter.

Responsibilities

• Learn foundational skills for surface finish preparation and application.
• Perform painting prep, masking, sanding and cleaning to ensure adhesion and finish quality.
• Assist in wingbox production areas with drilling and fastening activities.
