Job summary

Kühne + Nagel in Farnborough is seeking a hands-on Team Leader - Aviation Stores to manage a four-person team within a customer aviation maintenance facility. You will oversee receipt, storage, inspection, packing and despatch of aviation materials, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with Part 145.

This 4-on/4-off, 12-hour shift role requires practical leadership, strong communication and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, while meeting vetting requirements and maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation/aerospace or other highly regulated environments is desirable.
• Good knowledge of warehouse or stores operations, including receiving, picking, packing, stock management and despatch.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a four-person team, ensuring workloads and resources are effectively planned.
• Manage team performance against KPIs and contractual requirements, identifying opportunities to improve performance, quality and processes.
• Oversee receipt, handling, storage, inspection, packing and despatch of customer assets, providing hands-on operational support when required.
• Ensure inspections are carried out in accordance with Part 145 and customer quality requirements.
• Oversee Dangerous Goods packing and despatch activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team, ensuring training for new starters and ongoing support.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, housekeeping and compliance, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with customer, colleagues and management, communicating performance and challenges.
