Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Aviation Security Officer to operate X-ray screening, manage access control, and perform passenger and baggage checks at the airport environment.

The role involves daily tasks focused on security, safety, and high standards of customer service in line with procedures and client expectations. You will work on a 4-on/4-off day pattern, supporting incident reporting, communications, and collaboration with emergency services when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation security preferred.
• Ability to work day/night shifts.
• Current driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray machines and inspect baggage and people.
• Control access to Security Restricted Area (SRA).
• Screen all persons entering SRA.
• Perform vehicle searches and passenger/body searches.
• Liaise with Police and emergency services as necessary.
• Maintain incident logs and submit reports.
