Job summary

DEA Aviation Ltd. in the UK is seeking an Engineering Production Planner based at Gamston Airport, Retford, to provide tactical and administrative support to the Maintenance Manager.

The role focuses on optimising maintenance track balancing, pre-input and post-output planning, and ensuring work packs and parts are prepared before aircraft arrival. You will coordinate with Maintenance Control, Fleet Management, Stores and Procurement, and Engineering teams to translate forecasts into actionable

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of documentation and data.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering documentation, task cards, and Service Bulletins to effectively compile work packs.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a high tolerance for ambiguity in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
• Proven ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams including fleet, maintenance control and hangar teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate long-range fleet forecasts and tactical inputs into actionable production plans.
• Lead internal facility preparation with tracks, stores and procurement to ensure readiness on aircraft entry.
• Monitor workload distribution across tracks and mitigate capacity risks for balanced operations.
• Refine pre-input and post-output processes to remove bottlenecks and speed maintenance execution.
• Convert approved work orders into comprehensive work packs with required documentation.
• Analyze data to optimise maintenance scheduling and allocate tooling and capacity.
• Oversee hangar floor progress and coordinate recovery strategies with Maintenance Manager.
