Job summary

Leading Edge Aviation is seeking a flexible and highly organised Operations Assistant to join the busy Operations team at a major airside flight school. The role focuses on the safe and efficient delivery of the daily Flying Programme, including scheduling aircraft and briefing sessions, maintaining records, and coordinating with ATC, Ramp and engineering.

The position is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week) with a weekend rota and a 12-month minimum commitment.

Qualifications

• Flight planning and operational experience required.
• Excellent IT and systems skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Can-do attitude with willingness to go the extra mile.
• Flexible to cover a 7-day week operation including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Flying Programme, liaising with FI’s, students and internal/external agencies.
• Assist in scheduling aircraft, simulator and briefing sessions per regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of events and timings.
• Process Instructor duty and rest records per Operations Manual.
• Maintain aircraft position/technical status and weather awareness.
• Coordinate with Ramp, ATC and engineering for aircraft movements.
• Lead in case of flight disruption and initiate emergency procedures when needed.
• Liaise with London Oxford Airport operations to ensure efficient delivery of the Flying Programme.
