Job summary

Draken invites applications for an Operations Controller based at Teesside International Airport. You will coordinate day-to-day flight operations, support aircrew and aircraft planning, and act as the base's operational focal point under the Operations Control Leadership Team.

You will liaise with internal departments, manage stakeholder relationships, monitor movements, and respond to delays or issues while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the flying programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' aviation experience and familiarity with civilian/military regs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day flying programme to meet safety and efficiency targets.
• Support rostering and planning of aircrew and aircraft within compliance.
• Act as primary operational coordination point at base and deployed locations.
• Liaise with Flight Ops, Engineering, and Aircrew to ensure programme delivery.
• Build strong relationships with customers, aerodromes and stakeholders.
• Monitor movements and in-flight activity; respond to delays or issues.
• Lead planning of operational detachments away from base.
• Ensure activities comply with procedures, regs and safety standards.
• Report policy breaches and operational concerns to Leadership Team.
• Take immediate action in incidents per Emergency Response Plan.
• Monitor performance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Participate in out-of-hours callout rota with additional remuneration.
