Job summary

Dorset-based aviation specialist seeks an experienced Obsolescence Manager to own and develop the Obsolescence Management function at its Head Office in Dorset with regular on-site attendance. You will lead the system development, identify obsolescence risks across aircraft, engines and mission equipment, and provide expert technical guidance to OEMs and stakeholders.

The role requires CAMO/Obsolescence expertise, strong regulatory knowledge (EASA/CAA/FAA), and a proactive, collaborative

Qualifications

• Proven CAMO and/or Obsolescence Management experience.
• Strong knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, UK Military and FAA regulations.
• Experience in a regulated aviation/aerospace environment.
• Sound understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Obsolescence Management function.
• Develop and implement the organisation's Obsolescence Management System and processes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate obsolescence risks affecting aircraft, engines, components and mission equipment.
• Ensure compliance with EASA, UK CAA, UK MAA and FAA requirements.
• Maintain effective compliance monitoring and assurance processes.
• Collaborate with OEMs, repair organisations and design authorities to develop technical solutions.
• Support the Safety Management System and flight-safety reporting.
• Manage audit findings, non-conformances and safety investigation actions.
• Provide specialist consultancy on obsolescence matters across the organisation.
• Support delivery of operational and financial performance targets.
• Lead and mentor colleagues within the function.
• Domestic and international travel as required.
• Respond to urgent operational requirements outside normal hours.
