Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Surrey/West Sussex is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Technician on a permanent basis. The role covers the support of precision assembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of integrated aircraft mechanical systems within a fascinating aviation MRO environment.

This hands-on position requires problem-solving abilities to tackle new technical challenges daily. The candidate will work on mechanical assemblies, restoration projects, and ensure conformance to aviation maintenance

Qualifications

• Experience in precision mechanical assembly, repair, or overhaul.
• Knowledge of engines, gearboxes, transmission systems desirable.
• Exposure to hydraulic assembly and testing and aviation standards.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble aircraft mechanical assemblies to assess condition, wear, and serviceability.
• Perform precision mechanical repairs and reassembly.
• Support Reduce to Produce activities to maximise component recovery.
• Interpret and apply Component Maintenance Manuals and Repair Instructions.
• Select appropriate materials, consumables, and repair methods in line with aviation standards.
• Bring assemblies and components back to an overhauled standard.
