Job summary

Omega is seeking an Aerospace Mechanical Technician in Wolverhampton. You will assemble and test complex hydraulic products, and work across repair and new product build areas. Prior aerospace exposure is ideal, but the right candidate transitioning into aerospace is welcome.

Responsibilities include fault finding, assembling hydraulic assemblies, performing quality audits and using precision measuring tools to ensure component fit and function.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained (or equivalent level) ideally within Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience within a complex engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Competent at reading and following different set procedures.
• Competency with a range of assembly tools.
• Hydraulic testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Find and test faults of complex hydraulic products.
• Assemble complex hydraulic products.
• Complete quality audits.
• Build new or repair existing hydraulic products.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect component parts (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges).
