Job summary

Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre at Biggin Hill is seeking a Material Handler to manage inbound/outbound material, tool control, and inventory in SAP. The role involves inspecting items, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with the maintenance team to support base and line maintenance operations.

Ideal candidates will have aviation/materials experience, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks (EASA Part-145, ADR, IATA).

• Goods-In Company approval with experience of accepting aircraft components

• Computer skills to use word processing, spreadsheets, databases
• Airfreight Security Employee training
• Road Transport ADR training
• Incoming Goods Inspector training
• Basic knowledge of aircraft parts and terminology
• Experience with SAP
• Knowledge of EASA Part-145, ADR, IATA categories 7/8
• Forklift qualification
• Export shipping experience

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Bombardier’s MOE and environmental/safety procedures
• Attend morning meetings and inform team about constraints
• Prioritize items to ensure timely handling of parts (AOG items first)
• Receive/inspect incoming/outgoing materials and document properly
• Inspect and identify tools/equipment and enter tooling in system
• Quarantine/reject defective parts and inform Buyer Planner
• Accept aircraft components and materials in SAP
• File and store material certificates and link to supplier
• Issue approved parts and tooling with proper documentation
• Ensure outgoing materials are billed to correct customer accounts
• Maintain inventory via cycle counts and perpetual/WIP systems
• Ensure materials are removed from store before expiry
• Prepare picked items for input and issue to Staff
• Monitor tooling calibration cycles and dates
• Remove tooling ahead of calibration dates
• Monitor consumable stock levels and report replenishment needs
• Ensure cores are returned to vendor timely
• Maintain good housekeeping in stores
• Perform other duties as assigned
