Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH London is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing, inventory and materials for the Biggin Hill Service Center. You will coordinate with external vendors for aircraft parts, track orders and ensure timely deliveries to support maintenance schedules.

Ideal candidates have aviation industry experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Inventory Management, and solid knowledge of logistics, with familiarity of EASA Part-145 and ADR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Inventory Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aviation or material/parts environment.
• Knowledge of aircraft parts terminology.
• Understanding of logistics processes.
• Familiarity with European regulations (EASA Part-145, ADR, IATA 7/8).
• Training in Airfreight Security or ADR (if access to store).
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office and database tools.

Responsibilities

• Attend kick-off meetings and pro-actively prepare purchase orders.
• Arrange slots with external vendors for overhaul/repair of aircraft parts.
• Track materials and equipment for recertification and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate repair/overhaul quotes and lead times.
• Place purchase orders and ensure supplier conformance to requirements.
• Monitor deliveries and report status to project management.
• Re-order consumables using min/max principles to minimize stockouts.
• Ensure timely acquisition of parts and tooling by coordinating with suppliers.
