Job summary
GE Aerospace in Cheltenham invites applications for an Advanced Manufacturing Apprentice. The program runs 3.5 years with rotational placements across five core business areas, training to become an Operator on the shop floor.
You will study a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship with an electrical bias at Gloucestershire College, Cheltenham Campus. Teaching includes 2-day college release weekly for the first two years, with full-site activity in Year 3 onward.
Qualifications
- Essential: 4x GCSEs inc Maths & English at C/4 or above
- Essential: Level 2 qualification equivalent to minimum of 4x GCSE including Maths & English at C/4
- Desire: at least 1 STEM subject at GCSE
- Desire: motivated, team player, tech interest, problem solving
Responsibilities
- Train as Advanced Manufacturing Apprentice in Cheltenham on a 3.5 year rotational scheme
- Study Level 3 Engineering & Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship (ST1395)
- On-site release: 2 days college per week during first 2 years
- Rotations through core business units to build broad product understanding
- Roll-off to various functions within Supply Chain after completion
