Job summary

You will manage aviation security requirements and warehouse standards, organise resources to maximise operational effectiveness, and report on KPIs and budget within the department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Site Manager role, ideally within an airport consignment centre environment.
• Logistics sector experience is essential.
• Experience managing teams, driving performance, and handling disciplinary, absence and grievance processes.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including budget management, resource planning, and delivering operational KPIs.
• Excellent decision‑making, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication, reporting and IT skills.
• Proactive approach to Health & Safety and stakeholder management.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
• IOSH qualification desirable

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient running of the site operation.
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in goods receiving and dispatching goods in line with the agreed schedule.
• Manage legal and operational compliance for the department.
• Oversee aviation security requirements and warehouse standards.
• Organise available resources to maximise operational effectiveness.
• Manage, control and report all costs, KPIs and operational statistics within budget.
• Communicate effectively with the customer and internal colleagues.
• Monitor and maintain written security check records.
• Schedule random checks and address deficiencies.
• Lead warehouse operations from goods receipt and security screening through to dispatch.
