Job summary

AECOM is seeking a strategic, client-focused Aviation Client & Programme Director to lead the growth of our Aviation business across the UK & Ireland. You will shape strategy, secure major opportunities and develop long-term client relationships while directing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver flagship programmes.

Reporting to the Sector Director, you will own the pursuit process, manage executive-level engagements with airport operators and infrastructure clients, and ensure delivery

Qualifications

• Proven success leading pursuit, capture and conversion of major infrastructure opportunities.
• Established relationships within the aviation sector with credibility among airport operators and clients.
• Experience developing client strategies, growing key accounts and securing repeat business.
• Extensive experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing profitability and growth.
• Experience operating within a global organisation and leveraging international capability.
• Inspirational leadership with ability to build high-performing teams and develop talent.
• Advocate for safety, sustainability and client excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Aviation Sector's three-year growth strategy across the UK & Ireland.
• Own the client engagement strategy for key aviation clients.
• Lead pursuit, positioning and capture of major opportunities (> $5M).
• Direct end-to-end work-winning process for strategic pursuits.
• Develop winning strategies leveraging global capability and delivery expertise.
• Collaborate with global Aviation and Transportation teams to unlock cross-border opportunities.
• Provide executive oversight of major aviation programmes and ensure delivery excellence.
• Drive sales, pipeline, profitability, and governance.
