Job summary

Serco is seeking a Refuel Section Supervisor at AESAS, RNAS Yeovilton. You will supervise refuelling operations, manage vehicles and drivers, and ensure safe, compliant fuel services for military and civilian aircraft in a highly regulated environment.

You’ll maintain training records, monitor hazards, and work closely with senior supervisors to drive operational performance and continuous improvement. A BPSS clearance pathway is described for security.

Qualifications

• Candidates hold vocational driving qualifications for refuelling vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with fuel quality assurance, fuel testing, and contamination controls.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements, COSHH and quality practices.
• Comfort using computer systems to maintain operational records and asset data.
• Understanding of aviation operations and airworthiness within regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise refuelling operations, vehicles, equipment and drivers to ensure safe, efficient service.
• Carry out fuel-related tasks including aircraft refuelling, testing, contamination checks and bulk fuel inspections.
• Support delivery of aviation fuel services aligning with customer needs, contractual commitments and standards.
• Maintain training, competency and currency records for operations and equipment.
• Monitor hazards, assess risks, and support reporting of safety events and near-misses.
• Collaborate with Refuel Senior Supervisor and Engineering Support Manager to drive performance.
