Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Field Engineer to provide field engineering expertise with a focus on planning, packaging, material management, quality control and subcontract coordination on a major aviation project in the Greater London area.

You will support Project Managers in monitoring construction activity, develop site layouts and phasing plans, and mentor field personnel while ensuring safety and adherence to contractual requirements throughout live operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience on projects within live operational facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and promoting safe working culture.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in monitoring construction activity on large, strategically important projects.
• Coordinate with engineering and design consultants to reflect requirements in design deliverables.
• Develop site layouts, temporary works strategies, logistics and phasing plans.
• Assist in developing construction execution plans, staffing strategies, and resource estimates.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain to develop construction packaging and delivery strategies.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental considerations are embedded in design and planning.
• Review and monitor quality control plans during design and construction.
• Maintain awareness of design evolution and scope changes.
• Contribute to cost estimates, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project and field personnel.
