Job summary

STS Engine Services in Stansted, Essex, United Kingdom, is hiring Engine Mechanics and Approved Technicians for a full-time role with varied shifts. You will maintain and repair engines, liaise with Team Leaders, and work away from base as needed.

Applicants must have prior approval for at least one listed engine type and be able to operate within a busy engine shop. The position includes a base salary up to £54,364.43 per annum, with additional shift premiums and approvals-related allowances.

Qualifications

• Time-served aerospace industry apprenticeship with at least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in busy engine shop with the listed engine types.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of engine shop manuals and ATA chapters.
• Awareness of Part 145 and FAA regulations.
• Previously held company approval on at least one engine type.
• Borescope inspection experience is desirable.
• Human Factors training EWIS L1/L2 and Fuel Tank Safety L1/L2 advantageous (training can be provided).
• Flexible to move between work areas within STS Engine Services.
• Able to follow Technical Instructions from ESM, CMM, SRM, IPC.
• Team player and proactive problem solver.
• Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Work on maintenance and repair workscopes as part of day-to-day workshop operations.
• Support effective engine shop turnaround while meeting company objectives.
• Collaborate with the wider team to complete tasks timely and accurately.
• Meet and maintain standards set by the business and regulators.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant manuals and procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment and culture.
• Assist with implementing company directives and growth strategies.
• Contribute to meeting performance targets and maintain quality standards.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Security policies at all times.
• Maintain integrity and professional conduct for STS Engine Services.
