Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for a customer service star to join Portico as an AV Technician on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will join our team at a financial company based in Stratford!

Main Duties:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all AV-related issues in meeting rooms (MS Teams).
• Set up audio-visual equipment and laptops in the Conference Suite, Training Rooms, & Boardroom within 15 minutes of the meeting start time.
• Provide event and external AV assistance.
• Reconfigure room layouts as needed within 15 minutes of the meeting start time.
• Perform regular checks of rooms throughout the day, noting any faults with equipment, furniture, or lighting, and liaising with relevant departments to address issues promptly.
• Ensure meeting rooms are tidy and ready for use, with chairs and tables clean and arranged appropriately.
• Conduct regular floor walks to monitor room and equipment usage, ensuring effective utilization of facilities.
• Perform end-of-day floor walks, returning all AV equipment to secure storage.
• Assist with maintenance of on-floor LED screens in meeting rooms, kitchens, atriums, and staff restaurants.
• Collaborate with service providers to adapt AV services and hospitality to changing business needs.
• Ensure meeting rooms have functioning lighting and ventilation and are in good condition.

As an AV Technician, you will be reliable, flexible, and a strong ambassador for both Portico and our client. You will leverage your previous experience in a 5-star service environment to engage positively with clients and stakeholders, ensuring a seamless service experience. Your proactive approach to anticipating client needs, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be key to maintaining smooth daily operations and presenting a safe, professional environment.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, alternating shifts between 7 am and 6 pm.
Pay: £27,000 per year

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have immaculate personal presentation, a genuine smile, and the ability to engage easily in conversation, naturally building rapport. Experience with audio-visual services is desirable, as well as familiarity with room reservation operations.
