Qualifications

  • Previous experience in service and hospitality is preferable.
  • Experience in AV or live events is preferred.
  • Experience in audio-visual settings within education is beneficial.

£26,000 to £28,000 (dependent on experience)

Your area of responsibility as an AV Technician:

Working in some of the best venues and hotels in the UK, you will play an integral part in planning and preparing for events, responsible for delivery and setup from small meetings to large-scale productions.

Equipment Operation
  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to events
  • Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly
  • Comply with all security and safety measures, including wearing PPE
  • Report health and safety issues to the HSE or Project Manager
  • Work as part of a team on larger projects when required
Customer Service
  • Strive to exceed client expectations and needs
  • Maintain positive relationships through effective communication
  • Meet with guests onsite to ensure their needs are met and equipment is functioning properly
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day
  • Foster good relationships with clients and venues
Technical Ability
  • Understand technical aspects and demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills
  • Handle equipment challenges professionally and promptly
Systems Knowledge
  • Follow company procedures and accurately complete paperwork
  • Use equipment sheets for setup and strike
  • Collaborate with staff and vendors on equipment needs
  • Utilize up-selling techniques to increase revenue
  • Assist with finalizing invoices with clients
Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in service and hospitality is preferable. Experience in AV or live events is preferred. Experience in audio visual or similar in educational environments is beneficial.
