The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking an enthusiastic AV Technician to join our London-based team and help deliver outstanding live, hybrid and digital event experiences. This on-site role in London involves supporting meetings, conferences, webinars, filming, editing and live event production.
You will be a practical, solution-focused technician with experience in customer-facing environments and a background in video production, live events, and AV disciplines.
Contract type:Fixed term (6 months) with possibility to extend
Salary: Grade 3,total remuneration range £28,925 – £32,102 pro rata per annum (depending on skills and experience). This is inclusive of a £3,000 technical supplement.
Please note that this appointment will be made at £29,560 per annum.
Working arrangements:Full-time, 40 hour a week on a shift basis. Standard working hours between 08.00 – 18.00, Monday to Saturday. Some overtime and anti-social working will be required to support projects. This is a fully onsite role and not suitable for hybrid or remote working.

RCP Events is a 4-star events venue known for creating memorable, high-quality event experiences in the heart of London. From high-profile medical and corporate conferences to elegant evening receptions and creative content production, our spaces support a wide variety of ambitious events. We are now looking for an AV Technician to bring energy, technical expertise and a calm, customer-focused approach to our busy technical team.
This is a varied and hands-on role at the centre of our audio-visual, technical and media services (AVTMS) operation. You will play a key part in delivering professional technical support across meetings, conferences, webinars, filming, editing and live event production, helping ensure every client and delegate has a seamless experience.
You will be a confident, practical and solutions-focused technician who enjoys working with people as much as with technology. You will have a strong eye for detail, take pride in delivering excellent service, and stay calm under pressure when supporting busy live events. You will bring technical knowledge across AV systems and content production, along with the flexibility to support everything from boardroom meetings and webinars to large-scale conferences and creative filming projects.
