Job Description: AV Events Team Leader

Salary: Open to negotiation depending on skills and experience, plus company benefits

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday - Friday

We now have a new opportunity to recruit a proven AV Events leader into our team on-site with a well-known global brand.

As the AV Team Leader, you will manage and coordinate the requirements for AV support across a range of live events, ensuring proper resourcing, planning, and support.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of clients and visitors at all levels, with events including charity fundraisers, children’s events, live TV & radio broadcasts, formal dinners, business presentations, and speeches from notable figures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with management and clients regarding AV requirements, providing advice on presentations, audio, and video.
• Operate audio-visual equipment during events to maintain high technical standards.
• Supervise and perform positioning, installation, and operation of AV equipment.
• Conduct pre-event checks and production coordination for video/audio conferences and Webcasts.
• Set up and support all on-site AV equipment.
• Assist with MS Teams conferencing issues.
• Perform regular preventative checks and maintenance of AV equipment.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Manage onsite technicians to ensure high service levels.
• Support client projects and installations related to AV.
• Promote team collaboration, morale, and identify training needs.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals for the AV onsite team.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Videoconference & Live Streaming platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, YouTube, etc.) and troubleshooting issues.
• Proven experience operating PA systems, projection, graphics, video, and AV matrix switching.
• Experience with digital mixing desks (Allen & Heath), live sound, and Dante functionality.
• Knowledge of video & broadcast systems (BlackMagic, Roland, PTZ cameras, etc.).
• Excellent IT knowledge related to AV systems and IP Cameras.
• Understanding of consumer broadband hardware, routers, switches.
• Basic knowledge of Stage LED Lighting and moving lights.
• Understanding of signal flow in audio and video installations.
• InfoComm CTS certification is advantageous.
