Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment in London is seeking an AV Engineer to install, service and maintain high-end audio-visual systems for retail, leisure and hospitality clients across London and surrounding areas.

You will work independently or in a small team, lead junior engineers, and travel to sites as needed. The role offers a clear path for on-site leadership and client training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license is required.
• Experience as an AV installation engineer or similar.
• Strong knowledge of audio systems, including 100V line systems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel/work away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain high end audio visual systems for clients.
• Lead and train junior engineers on site.
• Act as on-site point of contact for client updates.
• Coordinate with operations on progress and issues.
• Assemble AV racks with labelled cabling, tidy layouts.
• Provide client training on installed systems.
• Complete project paperwork accurately.
• Travel away from home when required.
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace and comply with health and safety policies.

£27,000 - £35,000

Job Purpose Summary:

To install, service and maintain high end audio visual systems for retail, leisure and hospitality clients within London and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working independently and as part of a small team to carry out audio visual installation and service works.
• Providing guidance and training to Junior Engineers.
• Acting as the point of contact on site for any client update requests or queries.
• Maintain contact with the operations team regarding any progress or issues that may occur on site.
• Assembly of AV racks ensuring all cabling is labelled and structured in a tidy manner.
• Leading and training Junior Engineers where required.
• Provide client training on how to use installed systems.
• Ensure accurate completion of any project paperwork.
• Working away from home where required.
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace.
• Adhere to health and safety policies.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving License
• Previous experience as an AV installation engineer or similar
• Strong knowledge of audio systems, ideally experienced in servicing 100v line audio systems
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to work away from home on occasion

Preferred:

• ECS, IPAF or PASMA certificates
• QSC or Dante certifications
