Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced AV Design Engineer to take ownership of complete AV projects from concept to delivery on large-scale installations. You will design, document, and validate systems, ensuring robust, install-ready solutions for customers in education and other sectors.

The role requires strong knowledge of conferencing systems, DSP, and integration, with a collaborative approach and capability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV Design or AV Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, DSP and control systems.
• Understanding of signal flow, system integration, and AV networking.
• Experience producing technical drawings using Visio or similar software.
• CTS, CTS-D, AutoCAD, SketchUp or Education sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design complete AV systems from concept through to delivery.
• Produce schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules, and bills of materials.
• Support pre-sales activities and technical solution development.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure designs are install-ready.
• Support installation and commissioning activities when required.

AV Design Engineer (Audio Visual)

Bolton - 3 days a week on-site

Are you an experienced AV Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to delivery, working on large-scale, high-quality installations where your technical expertise, commercial awareness, and ability to deliver practical solutions will have a genuine impact?

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of complete AV systems, producing detailed technical documentation including schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules, functional descriptions, and bills of materials. You will work closely with sales, project management teams, engineers, and customers to ensure solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and ready for installation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an AV design or AV engineering position, with strong knowledge of video conferencing technologies, audio systems, control systems, and AV integration. You will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
