Job summary

MBDA UK is offering a one-year placement based on-site in the West of England. You are an undergraduate studying Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering or Computing, and you’ll apply university learning to real-world missile-system projects.

You’ll gain experience across Guidance, Control, Navigation and Command & Control, helping design autopilot algorithms, analyse flight dynamics and integrate sensor data—with MATLAB/SIMULINK daily usage—and you’ll be supported by an experienced team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studying Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering or Computing.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis across Guidance, Control, Navigation and Command & Control.
• Assist in autopilot algorithm design and flight dynamics analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate sensor data from missiles and subsystems.
• Apply MATLAB/SIMULINK daily to modelling, simulation and validation.
• Explore data-driven approaches to improve system performance.
