Job summary

Wayve is recruiting a Robotics Software Engineer for its Online Calibration team to scale calibration across an autonomous-vehicle fleet. You will translate calibration techniques into reliable, resource-efficient components running on constrained hardware, collaborating across calibration, state estimation, robot software and vehicle platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong practical expertise in sensor calibration and state estimation across multi-sensor systems.
• Expertise in Kalman-family filters, Bayesian estimation, smoothing or factor-graph optimisation.
• Proficient in modern C++ and Python for prototyping, analysis and test tooling.
• Experience productionising algorithm-heavy robotics software for vehicles and edge platforms.
• Experience with asynchronous high-throughput sensor data and hardware-accelerated pipelines.
• Strong software architecture, API design, testing, debugging and end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Extend online calibration node capabilities with robust production software guidance.
• Adapt and integrate calibration/estimation algorithms for onboard execution.
• Handle asynchronous sensor data and accelerator-produced features reliably.
• Strengthen validation, interfaces, logging and fleet-facing communications for calibration.
• Profile and optimise critical paths within constrained compute and memory budgets.
• Build simulation, replay, bench and on-vehicle tests and improve diagnostics across scenarios.
