Job summary

Gattaca is seeking a senior Solution Architect for Autonomy (Maritime/Uncrewed Systems) in the UK. You will own end-to-end autonomy architectures, including onboard systems, mission management, remote operations, and data models.

You will translate customer missions into phased releases and drive evidence-backed deployments, with travel for trials and deployments. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage integration and verification, ensure safety engineering practices, and contribute to

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering autonomy, robotics or safety-critical cyber-physical systems.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into architectures and interfaces.
• Strong systems engineering with trade studies and delivery planning.
• Leadership in technical delivery across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end autonomy architecture (onboard systems, mission management, remote operations, comms).
• Lead roadmap delivery, phased releases, dependencies and readiness criteria.
• Govern system integration, verification and assurance with traceability from requirements to testing.
• Drive architecture standards, virtual integration environments, and safe operation models.
• Provide technical leadership across teams during design reviews, trials and deployments.
