Job summary

Gibson Robotics in Glasgow is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and test real-time C++ solutions for autonomous flight and data streaming in aerospace.

You will build embedded and cloud-connected software, contribute across the stack from device interfaces to services, and collaborate in a small agile team while pursuing innovation and continuous learning.

Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ for UAS control and autonomy.
• Familiarity with Python and Linux environments.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of data storage, processing and secure comms.
• Familiarity with ROS2, PX4/ArduPilot and container tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C++ applications for UAS control and autonomy.
• Create infrastructure for data storage, processing and secure communication.
• Develop intuitive user interfaces to communicate with UAS platforms.
• Work across embedded, edge, and cloud layers in a small agile team.
• Research and implement secure data links for local and internet use.
• Collaborate to prototype, test and deploy real-world systems.
