Job summary

Gibson Robotics in Scotland (Glasgow) is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to design and implement flight control software for our UAV platform, taking ideas from bench testing through flight trials. You’ll work hands-on with embedded hardware, contribute to real-time C++ code, and help define the architecture of our autonomy stack in a tight, collaborative team.

Experience with ARM/NVIDIA Jetson, PX4, MAVLink, ROS and flight dynamics is valued; UK working rights and ability to obtain SC

Qualifications

Proficiency in C++, embedded/real-time systems.
Experience developing software for embedded platforms (ARM-based, NVIDIA Jetson).
Good understanding of control systems, estimation, or flight dynamics.
Hands-on development and iterative problem-solving.
Full UK working rights.
Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance to SC level.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and test flight control algorithms in C++ for embedded systems.
Collaborate with engineers across software, hardware, and systems disciplines.
Integrate software onto UAV platforms, from bench testing to flight trials.
Contribute to core architectural decisions and shape the autonomy stack.
