Job summary

TSL in Trowbridge is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on fast-paced construction projects across industrial and data-centre sectors.

You will manage multiple work packages, maintain cost control, prepare budgets, forecasts and variations, and report to project managers and clients.

Autonomy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential; start date ASAP in the South West.

Qualifications

• Industrial, manufacturing, or data-centre project experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting skills.
• Experience using COINS.
• Able to work in fast-track environments.
• Commercial awareness and stakeholder communication.
• Self-directed and able to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple construction work packages, including packages valued up to £5 million and above.
• Support projects from pre-construction through final account, maintaining cost control and commercial governance throughout.
• Prepare, track, and report budgets, forecasts, valuations, variations, and payment applications.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, enquiries, tender comparisons, contract administration, and payments.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities, escalating issues with clear supporting information.
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting within COINS.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to support fast-track delivery.
• Balance competing priorities across several projects while meeting tight reporting and commercial deadlines.
