MCS Group are recruiting for an Interim Practice Pharmacist in a specialist custodial healthcare environment. The role focuses on autonomous clinical pharmacy, medicines optimisation and independent prescribing within prison healthcare settings.
The initial placement is River House Practice, Maghaberry Prison, with potential support across HMP Magilligan and HMP Hydebank Wood. An exciting opportunity to lead medicines optimisation within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Registered pharmacist with current professional registration.
- Experience in clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation.
- Current independent prescribing status and ability to prescribe within scope.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation to improve prescribing quality and patient safety.
- Act as an independent prescriber within your scope of practice.
- Lead medicines reconciliation and assess/review long-term therapies.
