Job summary

NHS Fife is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or nurse practitioner progressing toward advanced practice to join the Orthopaedic Department. The role spans trauma and elective pathways, including the outpatient arthroplasty pathway and hip fracture ward, with potential to advance autonomous practice within an ANP‑led unit.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice is required.
• Clear evidence of clinical competence in advanced practice.
• Applicants should have completed or be progressing towards the specified modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, decision‑making and management for orthopaedic patients.
• Teach, supervise, assess and mentor others in the team.
• Contribute to planning, prioritising and delegation across the four Pillars of Practice.
