Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking two Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) to join the Cardiology Ambulatory Care team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, PA2 9PN. These are permanent, full-time posts, 36 hours per week, working 4/5 days Mon–Fri.

You will provide autonomous advanced practice in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient flow and experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Postgraduate or post-registration qualification in cardiology or equivalent.
• Master’s level study in Advanced Clinical Practice.
• Nurse independent prescribing qualification.
• Significant post-registration cardiology and acute care experience.
• CPD and leadership/service development training evidence.
• Excellent teamwork, ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Provide autonomous advanced practice including prescribing and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary cardiology team to ensure safe, timely care.
• Support patient flow and reduce unnecessary admissions where appropriate.
