Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) seeks two Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) to join the elective orthopaedic service at Mexborough Elective Orthopaedic Centre (MEOC). The ACP will deliver autonomous clinical care within a multi-disciplinary team, lead the rapid response team, and support CPD with supervision and ePortfolio access.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience at senior level as autonomous practitioner
• Evidence of high quality clinical assessment, treatment and decision making
• Recent contribution to audit, research or service development
• Effective leadership, supervisory skills including mentoring
• Awareness of local and national issues affecting advanced practice
• Recent Quality Improvement and Innovation project

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality clinical care for orthopaedic elective surgeries
• Lead rapid response team for Mexborough Montagu Hospital
• Perform comprehensive advanced clinical assessment and investigations
• Prescribe and evaluate care; refer to other professionals as needed
• Be allocated a clinical and educational supervisor and CPD support
