Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work in a GP practice in Goole. The role suits an experienced ACP from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds capable of autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision‑making and effective patient management in primary care.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, run your own clinics and support urgent and routine patient demand.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming

• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified)

Requirements

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)
• Background may be Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision‑making skills
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
• Enhanced DBS

Working Pattern

• Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week
• Morning and afternoon clinics available
• Long‑term and ongoing sessions offered
