Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Manchester. The role focuses on autonomous NP-led minor illness clinics, urgent on-the-day demand, and contributing to smooth daily clinical activity.

You will deliver triage, assess and manage undifferentiated presentations, prescribe where qualified, and support GPs and Practice Nurses. EMIS/SystmOne/Vision familiarity and Enhanced DBS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics
• Telephone triage and patient streaming
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties
