Job summary

Our client, a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their Sheffield Head Office. You will report to the HR Director, manage an HR Assistant, and support around 90 employees across the UK with hands-on employee relations, HR operations and continuous improvement.

You’ll drive recruitment, onboarding, development and retention, while reviewing policies and supporting change and workforce planning. Travel to other UK offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as HR Manager or autonomous HR generalist.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
• Experience advising senior managers and driving HR initiatives.
• Ability to manage and develop HR staff and work across multi-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR function and support managers.
• Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and best practice.
• Develop and support the HR Assistant and team growth.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, development and retention.
• Review and improve HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Assist organisational change, workforce planning and HR projects.
• Monitor HR metrics and prepare management reports.
• Collaborate with HR Director on priorities and people initiatives.
