Wigan & Leigh Hospice is recruiting a Hospice Nurse Specialist (HNS) or Associate Hospice Nurse Specialist (AHNS) to join our patient-centered palliative care team. This is a full-time, permanent 37-hour-per-week post based in the community, offering a clear development pathway between AHNS and HNS levels.

The role involves autonomous clinical practice, complex symptom management, and collaborative care planning with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
• Experience in palliative care desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality specialist palliative care to patients and families.
• Manage a complex caseload with symptom assessment and planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Support and educate patients and carers in end-of-life care.
