Job summary

Young's Citygate in Exeter is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen, crafting menus with seasonal produce and driving guest experiences. You will have autonomy to shape the menu, manage costs, train and motivate the team, and collaborate with front-of-house to deliver exceptional service.

The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities to develop within the Young's estate, including access to development programmes and regular culinary activities.

Qualifications

• Inspire and lead a team to develop fresh seasonal menus.
• Champion excellent service through quality food at Head Chef level.
• Active hands-on team player with excellent communication.
• Responsible for kitchen rota, training and health and safety.
• Creative with ability to design new dishes and daily specials.
• Strong planning and organisational skills for GP and labour controls.
• Pro-active in driving sales and growth with kitchen and FOH teams.
