Job summary

Northgate Medical Practice is one of the largest GP practices in the Canterbury area, caring for over 21,000 patients across three sites: Northgate Medical Practice, Chartham Surgery and Blean Surgery.

As a GP you will provide face-to-face and remote consultations, manage appointments and home visits, develop care plans, and prescribe according to practice protocols. The practice hosts GP registrars and students within a Health Education England approved training environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations, eConsults, and home visits.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems.
• Assess healthcare needs and develop care plans in line with practice protocols.
• Prescribe acute and repeat prescriptions per practice protocols.
• Record clear consultation notes and collect data for audits.
• Refer patients to other care providers as appropriate.
• Travel across three sites within Canterbury as required.
• Support GP registrars and students within the training practice.
