Job summary

Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice is seeking a Salaried GP for a 12-month role. The successful candidate will work autonomously across the practice population, managing long-term conditions, prescribing and handling referrals within the primary care contract.

The post includes six sessions a week across Wednesday to Friday, with three partners, three salaried GPs and an advanced nurse practitioner. Full GMC registration and prior general practice experience are required.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration.
• Experience working in general practice.
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MRCGP with CCT within two years of qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to the practice population within the primary care contract.
• Adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice.
• Provide generic prescribing in line with local and national guidance.
• Manage long-term conditions effectively.
• Process referrals, repeat prescriptions and other administration promptly.
• Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rota.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
• Share the practice workload equally.
• Follow clinical guidelines and audit recommendations, contributing to quality initiatives.
• Accept delegated responsibility for an area of QOF.
• Contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance, training and the wider management of the practice.
• Complete appraisal and revalidation, and promote CPD across the practice team.

Education

MBBS or equivalent medical degree

MRCGP with CCT, within the first two years of qualification
