Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a GP Out of Hours Nurse Clinician to assess, diagnose and treat patients with minor illness/injury during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays in the GP Out of Hours Service. This permanent, part-time role will work 6 hours per week across specified shifts and is offered with a pro rata salary of £57,528–£64,750 per annum.

Applicants must have UK NMC registration and Independent Non-Medical Prescribing, with experience in

Competenze

• Substantial post registration experience in General practice, Walk In Centre, or GP Out of Hours Service.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Familiar with internet healthcare resources.

• Provide highly specialist advice for the GP OOHs Service to include decisions on treatment and hurried management without full primary records.
• Provide advanced clinical assessments based on highly developed nursing knowledge and skills.
• Assess, diagnose, implement and evaluate treatment for undifferentiated diagnoses.
• Examine and assess patient needs from physiological and psychological perspectives and plan care accordingly.
• Make professional autonomous decisions within scope of practice as a key team member.
• Develop management plans to address urgent health care needs and refer to secondary care or admission as required.
• Administer medications including injections and cannulations in emergencies.
• Prescribe non-medical formulae with due regard to cost and resources.
• Ensure safe use of equipment within GP OOHs Service.
