Job summary

Sharper Consulting Services Limited is recruiting an Environmental Protection Officer to join the local authority's South West team and take ownership of a live statutory nuisance and noise caseload with autonomy from day one.

You will manage your own caseload, perform noise investigations and acoustics assessments, gather evidence for enforcement actions, and deliver proportionate regulatory decisions, with 3 days on site and mileage reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Strong local authority Environmental Protection background (EP)
• Hands-on EPA 1990 experience
• CIEH-accredited qualification preferred
• Ability to work independently from day one

Responsibilities

• Manage your own statutory nuisance caseload
• Conduct noise investigations, monitoring and acoustics assessments
• Gather evidence and prepare cases for enforcement action
• Make proportionate regulatory decisions with autonomy
