Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust in Plymouth seeks a Nurse Practitioner (Band 6/7) to deliver autonomous urgent care in the New Dartmoor Urgent Treatment Centre. You will assess, diagnose and treat adults and children, supporting patient flow and safe care across a 7-day rota.

The post requires RN registration with NMC, HCPC registration and emergency care qualifications, with CPD and working within multidisciplinary teams. Fixed-term/secondment options may apply.

Qualifications

• Current RN qualification with the NMC.
• Registered HCPC.
• Degree or demonstrable relevant experience.
• ED qualification or ENB A33 or equivalent.
• Continued professional development in emergency care.
• RSCN, ALS, APLS/PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients in minor injuries/illness in UTC.
• Provide autonomous clinical decisions within Trust guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate day-to-day UTC shift operations.
• Educate and support other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to development of minor injury pathways and services.
